Revolutiiiioooon!

Since becoming a city resident, I’ve discovered one of the best ways to spend a spring or summer evening. Its cheap and its fun– York Revolution baseball.

York and the surrounding communities have the opportunity to come out and support the greatest team in minor league baseball! Its America’s favorite pasttime and the York Revolution provides a great experience.

Your evening may begin with a dinner at the White Rose Bar & Grill. The White Rose is one of my favorite places to go and its one of the coolest places to go. I’m not sure if it was cool before I got there or if it became cool afterwards. The atmosphere is great and the food is also great– I recommend the crab pretzel appetizer. On evenings when the Revs have home games, a bus line is dedicated to transport patrons from the White Rose to the Revolution stadium for the game.

If its not fun enough to watch the Revs beat up on the opposition, entertainment and giveaways occupy the time in between innings. if you’re really lucky, the Revs mascot, Downtown, will grace you with his presence. He may even sit on your lap!

For the kids not enjoying the game– don’t worry. There is a huge playground.

Lastly, this year hosts some especially cool offers such as the Microbrew Mondays, a two-hour food and tasty beverage buffet for $55. Then, of course, there are Wing Wednesdays, and Fill-your-tummy Tuesdays.

April 29th marks their season opener! Not sold? Just sample an evening. Its only $7 for lawn seating. Or come out this Wednesday April 27 when admission is free for their exhibition game. Maybe I’ll see you there!
