Super school to come

What if I told you that you could send your child (or one day send your child) to a K-12 school, and when your child graduates, many American colleges and universities would recognize your child’s education as equivalent to having 1-2 years of college credit?

What if I told you that this school is scheduled to be built in York and that construction has already begun?

Excited? Your excitement is warranted! The York Academy Regional Charter School is being built in the Northwest Triangle development project of the city, across George Street from the Revs Stadium.

Contributing school districts are York City, York Suburban, and Central York. According to a spokesman, 25% of the student body is allocated for those three school districts, with the remaining 25% being open to any student from anywhere on a lottery system.

This sounds like great news for York!
